"Prayers For The Very Young"
Before the Child can talk, parents may pray at his bedside. So that the child comes to know that prayer is part of life in his family. Parents may find these prayers useful:
"O God, bless our home, our family, friends, and neighbours, and give us thankful hearts for all your mercies. Amen."
When able to talk, the child will want to join his parents in prayer. He may use the following, or his parents may help him to express in his own words his thankfulness, his love, and his desires;

Dear Father in Heaven, bless all our ....................
Lord Jesus Christ, be with me today,
and help in all in think, do, and say. Amen.
